EVENT 3 - GOLD COAST - GROUPS & ELITE SOLOS

Dance studios, primary schools, and high schools are invited to join us on the Gold Coast at HOTA – Home of the Arts for the 2026 StarBound Entertainers Festival – Groups Event. This professionally run and supportive dance eisteddfod welcomes group performers of all ages and styles to take the stage in a positive, encouraging competition environment.

New for 2026, we are proud to introduce our Elite Soloists section. Performers who have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in any competition throughout the year are invited to present their top solo and compete against other elite soloists within their age division, all vying for the ultimate Elite title.

Also launching in 2026 are our School Soloist Sections, created especially for Primary and High School performers. For the first time, StarBound offers dedicated solo opportunities for school-based performers, allowing standout students to represent their school on stage at HOTA.

New School Soloist Sections include:

• Primary School – Soloist (Any Age | Any Style)

• High School Years 7–9 – Soloist (Any Style)

• High School Years 10–12 – Soloist (Any Style)

Entries for this event will be available via Comps Online.
Entries close 1 May.

STARBOUND Industry Workshop

Held in conjunction with the 2026 StarBound Entertainers Festival – GOLD COAST Groups Event 3, the StarBound Industry Workshop offers dancers the opportunity to train, connect, and be inspired in a true performance-weekend atmosphere.

Workshop Details

• Date: Friday 26 June 2026 (last day of Term 2)

• Time: 10:30am – 1:30pm

• Venue: HOTA – Home of the Arts, Gold Coast

Eligibility

Open to dance students aged 11 years and over, including:

• Primary and High School students

• Dance studio students

• Independent dancers

Workshop Program Includes

• Stretch & Technique Class

• Industry Q&A Session
  (covering auditions, industry expectations, choreography, and professional pathways)

• Commercial Jazz Class & Choreography
  High-energy, industry-style choreography taught by working professionals.
